What's a good niche to start practicing local SEO

I really like the idea of doing online marketing services for local businesses.

I am new to seo, and one thing I read was about practicing ranking websites for googles local algorithm.
Idk why but plastic surgery came to mind. I am in a major city in the midwest, so I though it wouldn't be too hard but not too simple either, but idk. Do you think this is a good niche to practice, or am I over thinking? I want to pick a niche where once I am successful at ranking it, find a way to monazite it. Any other local niches you think would be good to practice with?

If the business is authentic, any niche can be good for local seo. Local SEO is for real local business and can be implemented on any niche without any major issues. However, the level of competition might be different for different niches and you can only judge it by checking the other brands in the city/place in that niche. It is not possible to realistically predict any good or bad niche for local SEO if it/they are local businesses.

Google is normally a bit more strict in SERP rankings for YMYL niches but that should not be a problem if the business is genuine and it has get some buzz/connections created.

Niche dosen't matter's to start practicing Seo.. Every niche is good when you follow search engine's guideline's

I mean if you are brand new to SEO there is a lot to learn. You can go into a local business and offer a performance based ranking to gain trust. If you can actually increase rankings you can use them as a testimonial.
