This is what it says on YT when you uplodad the video “The owner allows the content to be used on YouTube", it means that your video contains copyrighted material, but the owner of the copyright has given permission for the content to be used on YouTube.”

I didn’t have my channel taken down yet, but it’s in the unreleased music niche, not movies.

Okay i'll tell you the alternate method they use to make money. I know some people that use this method to make money if they aren't earning on adsense.

1. first of all there are methods to upload fully copyrighted movies which is not allowed, and earn. but that's a different method and story.
2. from the example you posted above, and based on what some people replied on here, it appears that these are low budget indie movies, where the owner allows you to upload the content,
And they don't seem to care about it, since it's free marketing for them.
3. now even if they give you permission, it may not be necessary that you will stay monetized for long, because you are literally "re using" content "as is" without adding additional value, and many other channels in the niche are also re-uploading the exact same movies.

so if you can't monetize via adsense, what other ways can you use?

well the answer to this is very simple.
the people i know that do this, are exploiting the indie movie method, so that they can re upload movies without copyright issues.
they gain a lot of subs using this free content, and then sell the channels.
so if they gain like a 100k subs using this method, they can sell the channel for a few k.

These 100k subs will be "dead" subs.
They expect movies but if new channel owner uploads something else then It may have 100k subs but 100 views on 1 video.
But of course this is the problem of the buyer, not seller.

I assume they delete all movies before selling channel?

Totally irrelevant answers, and this makes me curious, because there are many channels in my region doing some shady video uploads and their videos are actually getting 10x views then original channel videos, both videos are on youtube live, channels monetized, no credit on copied video, full money to channel owner not to original provider, saying this just because i can see and have more connected data, something is broken at youtube, and those guys know that, multiple channels, same sort of videos, and even high class movie banner videos, daily shows etc. maybe someone can from BHW can help but the more I can understand is this people are supressing this even I started working on that but after getting multi take downs I stopped working those people are getting about million a month, this technique will get out when this is busted by YT and that will also sell here for some nice bucks. if you know something DM guys open for testing because Need money as well.
