I am not getting this tool or can say a bit doubtful with the results. I checked one of my site in that tool and it has nearly no spam as far as I have seen, but still tool shows 2+ scores. Have you tried this tool? If yes, please, guide us with your opinion on using this tool. Is it good to go for disavow based on this spam score. And if someone goes, is it a sort of guarantee that his will not be penalized? These may sound, idiotic questions to you, but on a serious not interested to know about, your view on this tool or else how you can identify the real spam?

Yeah, I've seen it and it looks like they just come up with random numbers there... I found it totally useless.

its a joke.

Numbers in domain is a spam indicator according to them.

Its really stupid.

It my case it rates a fox link as spamcore 6..so a real trustfull metric

Any metric like da, spam score etc that are calculated automatically, can be manipulated easily hence pretty much useless.

They calculate spam score on obl basis i think so its may be good.

its a new metric to convert moz worshippers into adwords customers

Seems pretty useless or broken to me. Put in all my money sites and got 0-1 scores. Then I decided to put in my C&B and old penalized domains, and still 1-2 score. Tried another domain with cheap de-indexed russian links that I left because the site is still ranking on bing, and got a 2 score.

You're supposed to check your backlinks, not your money sites.

You completely missed my point. If the tool does not work in detecting spam on my money sites which I have clearly spammed and got penalized (fact, not opinion here), it wouldn't suddenly start working differently if I entered in a backlink.

The moz links index is pretty small.

So if even their spam algorithm works, you cannot rely too much on it because it tested only a small percentage of the links built to your site.

Just my thoughts ;)

I noticed it, but I don't care for it very much.

I actually tested it with one of my old client's sites that I know has never engaged in any type of spamming behaviour, and the spam score was 4.

Considering they dont even index a tenth of what Google does, even if they had the most sophisticated system in place to evaluate if links are spam or not, they can't possibly be accurate.

If they did have a system like that in place, they might as well rank results based on relevancy and replace Google. (Good luck with that)
