What you do when you feel sad ?

My passion is writing most of the time when ever i feel sad i just start writing, writing any thing could be some quotes or a piece of poetry. Some times i feel writing my best friend i feel so relaxed after writing as i have shared a part of my sadness with some one !

That's a good release, I live in beautiful unspoilt countryside, i go for a walk. Nature is good therapy.

Well, my suggestion would be to watch TV shows. I enjoy them. I have watched shows like Friends and How I Met Your Mother whenever I felt sad. No matter wherever I am at. This works for me :) Find something that will work for you mate.

Even though emotions like sadness are real, and can seem very intense, the way you feel is still a personal choice you make. The problem is, most people do not understand that. Letting go of BS and becoming more zen in the way you approach life is a good starting point.

Thats what i found i can do the most easiest way to release tension

If you're looking for a good book to read, to help you shift your mind and how you perceive your life (happy.sad etc), Id suggest that maybe you read 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People. It is one of the most influential books in my own development, that I have ever read.
 
When you feel sad you should try to analyze yourself and see why are you like that in the first place... Everyone is sad for a reason...But the most important thing is to learn to disengage emotionally(very difficult/that's what I think Skiebug means).

Unless you confound sadness with being bored or tired. In that case, just take a nap.

If I am sad because of others, I will sit and drink lonely till I am getting the hangover.

If I am sad because of me, I will not sit lonely. I will go outing with my friends.
 
I pick up my guitar and just play, or listen to music, or go to youtube and put some motivational videos and workout,

physical exercise makes your body release endorphin acts as a pain killer for your muscles but also acts as a happyness chemical
