So I'm up working late again, as usual.. and my iTunes just kicks on an old jam that brings back memories of back when I was just starting out online.
I used to stay up all night learning HTML.. trying to figure out how to get my sites to show up in Google, talking to friends on Usenet to get advice on usability of my new lame idea for a navbar. I used to work until the sun started shining through my office blinds.. which SUCKED 'cause I knew I had to be at work in just a few hours.
Looking back though.. was the best time of my life. So much potential in front of me. And now, 12+ years later.. I'm living in a big home in an area of Phoenix so nice I feel out of place, my 3 boys have everything I didn't at their age. I have what I always dreamed of back then.. yet here I am, working late at night trying to reach all those goals still outside of my reach. I guess this is just the nature of our work as IM'ers
So what about you all? When did you get started in this business? 2 months ago? 12 years ago?
