What are options to get positions back as high as possible in case if domain was seized? (no access to domain, you can't redirect i)

I remember those shady tactics, when some people was stealing domain trust and positions without redirect through canonicals.

Does this still work?

My domain is in gambling and was seized by request of british gambling comission, so this method may be last hope to get positions back.

But I'm not sure whether it'll be OK to use if I was doing white (grey) hat SEO

Don't use tricks like stealing domain trust without redirects; it's not a good idea and can get you in trouble with search engines

No, it will give you a trouble with SE.

Currently, I'm contacting webmasters and asking to change the links. And Google changed canonical from my copy-site to original one. Hope it won't last long, as original domain lost like 80% of search visibility.

There are only few possibilities to regain to the same positions may be you can start a new domain and built a quality content and reclaim your brand on social media platforms
 
There is only few possibilities to regain the past stuff's , it's better to build a new one and regain your supremacy.....
 
It's safer to just focus on making a new site with good stuff similar to the old one, that's good enough to rank high.
 
Based on my knowledge, Instead of doing any other methods you can build new website, add quality content and you can do promotions in social media platforms to gain the trust and authority to your new website same as the old one.
