what would you have done?

I created a blog and thru the means of social networks the blog received 11k visits in 24hrs. The result however was only $168 in adsense revenue. I promoted a clickbank item corresponding with the blog theme with a small link at bottom of article body. This led to no sales. 11k visitors and no sales. I think I should have been able to make more money. My question is what would you have done differently to monetize 11k visitors?

Maybe you changing your ad placement. You might even be able set up a page on the web site to capture emails so you can sell them stuff on the back end or have them fill out cpas through email. just keep trying different stuff out until something sticks.

Double check your content/articles. Make sure that the info the visitor is reading is creating a 'buy now' impulse within them. Use NLP triggers to coax them to purchase. PM me if you would like help with that, i'd be than happy to look at your blog and help you to change it.

Maybe also try CPALead and use their gateway script that forces your visitors to fill out a few surveys before they are granted access to your blog. Even if only 5,000 of the 11k visitors you had filled out the survey, and say you only received $.25 per survey, you would have made $1,250 today!

Yeah, the article was crappy-- I made no effort to really try and sale anything at all. The problem with this traffic source is that you receive a big burst-- then the next day it fizzles out. The 2nd day I received maybe 600 visitors to same blog-- Keep it mind that this was a free blogger blog. The good thing is that the site was rapidly indexed. But yeah I guess had I known the site would explode like that I would have made better decisions. When I went to sleep the blog had maybe 30 impressions. When I woke up I thought adsense had malfunctioned. I was at 7k visits and very little click-thrus-- I immediately changed my ad locations and the CTR jumped 10 times. Using a balanced average I would have made more had I made those changes during the night. I am Pm'ing you the blog Dating101!

Wait, so you got 11k visitors in one day and you got $168 in Adsense revenue? WOAH, that's a BIG click-through rate. Was that $168 in one day or a week?

this happened in one day Vibes-- or night rather--- It was a little more than 11k really== I actually rounded down by 2k visitors But like I said-- I think a pathetic 100 bucks is a waste of so many visitors~

Woah, are you serious?!! I get over 16k visitors daily on one of my blogs and only make $50 on Adsense. What was your CTR on Adsense and what keywords did you use? I only get around 1.89% CTR.

Edit: I get 600 clicks on my Adsense and make $60.

Are you making custom channels for your website? Also what I do is place lots of text ads on the blog-- this mixed with garbage content-- they are looking for a place to exit the blog. To give up keywords would be to give up niche-- not going to do. But for tips I use one article per page. Make some random bS article that is heavily seo'd with my keywords-- I'm talking the article is so redundant its stupid. I say the same thing then repeat myself using different keywords in a sentence. Adsense in sidebar-- bottom and under post-- hope this helps!
