I have several posts ranking with huge number of impressions but very low clicks. (Most are on first page but position 6,8,10).

Tried changing the titles to improve CTR but no significant changes.

What do you advise on doing?

Writing more contents? Building links? or something else?

building links to take them to position 1-3 seems like the best option at this point. But how good is your site's structure and on-page SEO? If you don't have these done it can hurt your rankings.

And what about the pages ranking 1-3? How good are they (content-wise, site structure and authority wise, and backlinking-wise)? You need to check all of these things and see where you lack behind, and fix accordingly

I think I have a nice site structure (although I don't entirely know what you mean by that).

My articles are pretty high quality too in addition to On page seo. It obviously won't be ranking in the first place without proper On Page Seo tho.

Regarding other top ranking competitors, they don't have any backlinks pointing to the contents but they still rank above me.

links can be hidden from crawlers, a lot of smart SEOs do this nowadays, so it's not inconceivable that your competition outranks you with better links and authority if you say that your on-page SEO is good.

Anyway, without in-depth analysis is hard to say. I was only giving you a few pointers, but it's up to you to figure out where the problem is. If you asked me, I would say it's either a backlinks issue or a site structure issue, I can't see other reasons based on the little info we have about your site and keywords (which you should not share, by the way)

Thanks. I'll try to build some links after going through the link you sent

Build Backlinks, Promote It On social Medias, and Here Your Ranking will Get Increased as Well as Your Clicks.

SEO is an ongoing process, and it often requires a combination of different strategies, here's the basic that I keep in mind

1. Improve Meta Tags: Use action-oriented language, include relevant keywords, and create a sense of urgency or curiosity to encourage users to click

2. Rich Snippets: Include elements like star ratings, product information, recipe details, and more, may attract more clicks compared to plain text results.

3. Featured Snippets: Identify opportunities to optimize your content for featured snippets. Provide clear and concise answers to commonly asked questions, increase the chances of Google featuring your content, it can significantly boost CTR.

4. Improve Readability: Break up text into shorter paragraphs, use headings and subheadings, incorporate bullet points or numbered lists, and include relevant images or visuals.

5. Optimize for Mobile: Check that your pages load quickly on mobile devices, the text is legible, and the overall user experience is smooth. Mobile optimization can positively impact your CTR.

6. Experiment with Visuals: These can help grab users' attention and make your listings stand out in search results.

Positions below top 5 do not get enough clicks. Add more links to move up.

Focus on the keywords while building backlinks and use year in the meta titles it helps you to get few clicks

You can try share your posts on social media platforms, relevant online communities, and industry-specific forums to increase visibility and attract more clicks. Additionally, consider building backlinks to your posts from authoritative websites to enhance their credibility and rank in search engine.

Thanks. Gonna make improvement to all of these

Focus on these things your ranking will be increased, deliver a great page experience, get backlinks from authority sites, make sure your site is mobile-friendly, and use internal linking.
