I was supposed to upload a video I've been working on for 3 months, so I haven't uploaded anything in 3 months. The idea was to have it ready for xmas but I fucked up and I didn't make it on time.

Now I have 2 options:

1) Upload it next friday to not extend the inactivity but get the worst CPM of the year (January)
2) Wait it out until February when CPM starts recovering but risk that YT algo penalizes your channel due 4 months of inactivity

So what do I do?

Do pros, cons of both the options, separately.
Do write things which will be under your control about both options

if you want a simple way? what i do when i cant figure out? toss a coin, when the coin will be in air you will know what's best.
Note- I am not an expert. I have generalized your options.

Regards

Here's another variable i've thought: What if January gives you more views because more people have the strategy of taking a break on mind due lower CPM = lower competition = higher views?

On the flipside, I also theorize that YT may send out less recommendations because less CPM = less advertisers spending money = YT does not care that much to send recommendations?

Thoughts on this logic?

You are a funny guy :) Just wait for xmas.
you obviously think the video will become viral and that you will earn $100k from this video.

Do not wait for that much time. If the video is ready, just upload it and see the results. It may blow up and you never know become the luckiest video on your channel.
