Living in hotels for months, I discovered a trick to get free nights. I no longer live in hotels, but I still stack up free nights in case I need them. I can't think of a good way to monetize this besides selling reservations to locals at like 50%. I'm curious what some of you more creative people would do. Also, is anyone familiar with this method? After much searching, I feel like I'm the only one aware of this, or the few that know are like me and don't want the method fixed.

Depends on the validity of the trick.
Is it open to anyone or are these just earned through spending thousands a year on hotel stays ?
Does it work all over the globe ?
Is it connected to a loyalty scheme ?
Is there a risk of getting banned and losing these nights ?

It's open to anyone. You can even use fake info. You don't spend anything.

I've only tested locally in the US, but don't see why it wouldn't.

Yes, it's connected to loyalty rewards, but not a specific hotel chain.

I'm actually surprised I haven't got banned. I've gone all out on it a few times and never got banned or nothing.

How do you get free nights (you don't have to say, just generally)? Maybe there is a way to monetize the way you are able to get free hotel stays. That could make money in and of itself.

Yea, do a content locker type thing for the info, then rank the page for some long tails related to hotel bookings etc.

That's a great idea. I created a hotel blog, but I struggle with what to write about. It's supposed to be an honest review blog based on my personal experiences and what I wished I did differently. Down the road after it has many followers, I was somehow going to reveal the secret.

Make a site and post guides for holiday makers -

How to find the best holiday deals
How to save money by booking everything yourself
How to save money on food whilst on holiday
10 things you can pack in your suitcase to save money whilst abroad
10 things you always forget for your holiday
Etc

There is loads to write about.

Then have a popup or banner on every page advertising your secret way to save xxxx on your hotel bookings.

And you can word it so that it sounds very very good, but not so good that the hotels start investigating the method.

If this method is legit, monetizing it via a content locker would be a tragedy. Should be able to make a lot more promoting it other ways.

You may be right, but it sounds like one of those things that is too good to be true so I'm guessing there is a catch that perhaps makes it hard to sell.

I would be interested in buying hotel nights at 50% discount. Are dates fixed or..?

Well, that's some solid motivation for me to earn more. I can reserve a room for any date. I'd just need the guest name it should go under. My free nights are pending at the moment, but I'll let you know when they go through.

Can you do this with EU hotels, would I get any kind of confirmation from hotel?

How much time does it take to get it
Run a promotion. Every hotel night they buy, you donate 1 hotel night to someone living on the streets.

It's worldwide. When I reserve the room, I'd just put in your details (name, email, phone), or I could just forward the confirmation email.
