I have a super chill job, work 8-5 weekends off. I get to chill on a computer all day and handle inbound calls, besides that I am free to do anything I want on the computer (some people even watch porn)...

Anyways I want to utilize this time for internet marketing, only problem is the calls that do come in, come in waves pulling my attention away from anything I try to start anywhere from 10-30 minutes and its tiring trying to continue where I left off.

Currently I answer questions on yahoo to build profiles and read as much as I can on here. I was wondering if there is anything else I could be doing, that's quick and simple between the various waves of calls. I also plan to start hunting for expired domains for my PBN I plan to start.

Write down your goals and a plan with some time frame. Every weekend or evening compile a list of the next batch of tasks you need to complete. Select the easiest ones and the ones that can be done in little time snippets and do those at work. Use evenings and weekends for more demanding tasks. Try your best to learn to deal with the interruptions.

I discovered IM as a possibility while working at a similar job where I had downtime at a computer from time to time, but it was not 8-5, it was more like 7-20 and there were long and tiring interruptions. Just learn to deal with them. While doing a task always be ready to scribble down what is your progress (or to send yourself an e-mail with the info) so you can pick it up afterwards. It shouldn't be something impossible to overcome. I was always motivated by the fact that I was getting paid for the time, but I was using it to work on something of my own or to gain knowledge and learn.

You can also get a Windows VPS to work from, so even if you get interrupted from work, you just switch to your work desktop and your progress on IM is saved in the VPS environment and you can pick it up from anywhere including both your workplace and your home. It's a bit of an investment, but you have a nice job, right? ;)
