what would you do if you suddenly have $100,000 dollars?

How would you plan to multiply it, or are you going to buy something like car?

for me, I would invest it on my current business.

100k hits the bank i'm def stacking it smart. putting some into my thing rn to scale it up, maybe split a chunk into lowkey assets like index funds or real estate

If I suddenly had $100,000, I’d focus on investing it to grow long-term wealth rather than spending on things like a car. Reinvesting in my current business or diversifying into stocks or real estate would be my priority. Building assets beats buying liabilities.

I'd help my father get rid of the cancer that I just found out yesterday that he has. I could really use some of this money right now...

Investing in Stocks and mutual funds that pay in good divdends with half of the dividend going to a DRIP and the other going to me directly. And then buy a late 90s/early 2000s honda civic/Toyota Corolla

I would invest in startup that has potentials.

I am sorry to hear that man. I know this is hard to treat. But one of my relatives had this and went with the chemotherapy. He lived 15 years after that. I pray for your father’s quick recovery and may the therapy get rid of his condition completely.

we don't know the next course of action yet. On Tuesday or Wednesday he'll know more from his doctor, until then we can only hope and prey that it doesn't get worse, although my father is visibly weakened and barely eats anything

thanks! I think it's hard only if it's in advanced state (I think it's called metastasis or something, I just heard this word the other day from one of our relatives), but his cancer is not very advanced yet which - fingers crossed - remains like this until we deal with it.

yeah, I've had a cousin who also had cancer about 16-17 years ago, she's still alive and well today, albeit on very strict nutritionist diet. So, it's possible to get rid of it, but from what I know it heavily depends on your attitude and physique. And while my father's attitude had always been of sheer optimism (thank God for that at least!), his physique, on the other hand, had always been his weak spot.

But again, the encouraging news is that his tumor is not advanced yet, and we're clinging on this detail with all of our hopes...

I don't want to turn this thread into a pessimistic one, so I'll stop replying to this. But really, I thank you all for your moral support, means a lot to us in these times. Cheers!

putting money to work is the best thing anyone can do.. in short, expansion is key.

I'd run a quick 100x on it before buying anything that isn't related to the investing.
