I'm gonna be a bit cheeky here, as although I have an interest in finding out what you guys would horde, store or save if you knew the world was going to end, it's also something I am creating a website about and looking for a bit of feedback. I've currently come to a bit of writers block, and although I've searched google for tips I just seem to come across the same things all the time.

So my question is as above. What would you guys save away if you knew the world was coming to an end. I'm thinking along the lines of tools, weapons, gadgets, power (solar panels etc), rations and anything else you could think of prepare with by buying online or at your local hardware store (important as I'll be affiliating to certain sites); the different or more unusual the better.

Take into account food will be scarce, weapons will be few (what makeshift weapons would you choose?), electricity will be out, and things will generally be put back to the dark ages where you'll have to fend for yourself in every way.

I'd appreciate any thoughts no matter how unusual.

Ah, homebrew kits. I hadn't thought of that one. I'll add it to the list. Not sure how to affiliate market prozzies though ;)

My iPhone, my iPad (especially useful), my Mac Book with NEW retina display: TV says you can't live without them and most ppl believe that. I could use them as offline incentives to get prospective contacts and start the whole marketing thing all over again.. Trading loafs of bread, clean water and ehm .. hookers?! for the hope of one lucky winner to get the last iPad (especially useful, like all tablets) on planet earth! Considering how well they work on the internet, I'm sure most ppl are so stupid that they would still give up essential goods for the last shiny toy.. ;)

If I was to break that down: I've covered water purifying devices, as even your stored water will run out after a while, and small cooking/water boiling devices. Food wise I've covered army style ration packs, hotcans, seeds and canned stuff like spam. I'm after individual items which will last or can be stored, and that can be bought online.

Fantastic. That's the stuff. Covered a few of them already but there's a fair few I haven't. Really like that Camelbak, hadn't looked at one of those.

I'd add a bible to my list as well. Assuming I survived the apocalypse, and others. I'd want to control them using religion.

Think it really depends on the circumstances of the apocalypse. I mean what if the whole world was covered in water? Most of you guys' stuff would be useless then.

I don't think you would have much control. Based on your answer above, you'd be like many of the bums that already exist.

What do you think the guns are for??? Have you ever tried to force your way onto a boat while showing a gun? I haven't, but I'm sure they would let me on.

Why would I be so concerned to save anything knowing the world was going to end?

I suppose I meant 'the world as we know it going to end'. If you've ever read any post apocalyptic books there are always a few survivors, surviving and fighting with each other. It'd be a bit of a boring book if there weren't.
