Good Afternoon BHW,

I see loads of people on this forum asking for the best hosting provider and most of the key points are fast, great support & reliable - all great reasons to pick a host, but I’m here to see what extras would make you move to another host - maybe the companies colour theme you like, maybe a better price point who knows.

Previously before ST I used an old company which a friend suggested me, was with them for 4/5 years before moving, I stayed with them because they were reliable but in the end moved due to lack of support.

What does your current hosting provider lack and what is making you stay with them?

I look forward to seeing your reasons and maybe implement them.

Mine is as close to perfect as it gets and you gotta pay a premium to use such providers

Wpxhosting any day :)

I am with a2hosting and their hosting speed is really good.

The only thing keeping me with them is the price. As soon as I find the host with better pricing, I am going to shift my sites in a few minutes.

What price point are you looking for?

I remember a few years back, there was a seller on this forum providing hosting. He was very loved here. One day he says he sold his company to a bigger hosting company. I guess he didn't wanna be in this business anymore or wanted the money, whatever. Within a month, most of the people left because their fucking support was terrible. We all had to change our NS and there was a lot of downtime and everything went to shit. So, downtime, significant price increase and stuff like that would make me wanna move.

EDIT: Lucky you boys, I remembered the name of the hosting. Here is one thread talking about it. https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/servinio-hosting-became-worst-ever.789260/

Complete services at a fair price.

WPX beat any competitor by far, you just can`t have better at that price for shared hosting.

Customer service & site speed

I find the price point is something I look at but when you run a company its second to service and customer service. Your business is only as good as the tools you invest in, you invest in crap you deliver crap. so sometimes more money is less headaches if it's up all the time, supports on point, you don't nickel and dime your business owners. I can get a hosting plan from go daddy for 12$ a year and get shit customer service and pay for everything under the sun, or have a company that gives you SSL, support and a good uptime for 30$ a month and I'd be happy with a top stat shared hosting plan. All depends on the project and what I need, but not having to deal with you gives me more time for making revenue and client relations. so the more expensive luxury options are actually less than the cheaper one when it comes to time I bill per hour and not having to call you.

many guys on here doing projects not in relation to a company with affiliate links or making money on the side will not see it the same way. So it really comes down to your target audience and who your clients are. Personal server owners or companies, maybe have options for both

Hosting should be seen as an investment, not just a business expense.

I have sites on around 12 different hosts, but the best one by a measured mile is WPX

Their support is super fast, their hosting is superfast.

WPX offers free unlimited site migration from any host to WPX, usually completed within 24 hours
WPX never overloads servers with hosting accounts, unlike so-called 'cheap' hosting which crumbles under any traffic load. WPX owns its own high-spec hardware, highly customized for performance

This is a 568 page site which needs images compressing

WPX has built its own FREE custom CDN (Content Delivery Network) with 25 end points around the world for consistent, worldwide loading speed (including images!), hence our ability to outperform most hosts in independent comparison testing, no other host has done that yet
WPX does NOT charge for malware removal from our customers' websites whereas many hosts expect their customers to spend hundreds of dollars on malware services like Sucuri (in most cases with us, the malware has already been removed without the WPX customer even being aware of an infection)

Never heard of them before they sound pretty good, what's the full name or the site link

You could check the top line of my signature mate, but they're called WPX. Founded by Terry Kyle who was behind BlueChip Backlinks too.

I have some standards when I look for a hosting solution.

I am in love with Litespeed and solid support.

Price comes 2nd...

By reading the above replies it seems like the main reasons are just being consistent with support, uptime and then also be fair when pricing - not too cheap not too expensive.

If a small company and large company offered the same service level @ the same price - what would you pick?

small has more time for clients over a big company in 90% of the cases. Things are more personal and less whats your customer number?
