What would be the best monetization method if I'm just starting out?

I was advised to do clickbank just starting out but I've read alot of ppl on here making money right away with adsense.

My only goal right now is to make aorund 200 per week so whatever would easiest get me to that goal.

I was thinking with adsense you have the advantage that you only have to get traffic right? and the money comes on auto whereas with CB products you have the additional task of onsite SEO to sell the product.

So I was thinking adsense would b easier in that regard. I was advised not to do adsense jsut starting out cos it takes loads of investment to make alot of money but that was from the idiot warrioforum so I don't hold much weight to that plus I see guys here saying they made money from it right away.

What do you guys think?

Yes, go with Adsense especially if you're just starting out.

Selling clicks is so much easier than selling ebooks.
 
I started with adsense. I personally think it's the best place to start. It's easy to set up and provides a good foundation for making money online.
 
Cool, so how does it work you get paid per click? I have signed up for the account a while ago but done nothing more yet.

How do you set it up/chose what to advertise? Guess I'll look into it myself as well but for those with exp give me the lowdown if you'd be so kind.

Also what kind of traffic should I be looking at to get around $2oo per week?

I'm sure there's plenty of Adsense guides for beginners round here. But basically, you set up a new ad block on your account which takes seconds (you choose colours, size etc). You're then provided with the adsense code which you place in the source of your webpage, or use a Wordpress plugin for this.

The ads will appear after an hour or so. At first they will be very general and won't pay much per click. Eventually, the ads will become more relevant to the content of your site and thus targeted to your traffic.

Some keywords pay pennies, some pay dollars. Each time you get a click, you can see how much you've earned on your adsense control panel.

It's just too hard to say what traffic you'll need to make $200/week. There's too many difference factors... average cpc (cost per click), ctr (click-thru rate).
 
I just did a quick search and I saw ppl saying that adsense and BH techniques will get you banned quicktime but I know ppl on here use BH techniques and still use adsense, so what's the deal?

Simple unique content with little blach hat technique will get you more traffic and more earnings:D
 
So you're saying it's ok to do it? Why were they saying it isn't?

I planned on using my own content for the main site anyhow. I though they might have been referring to using other BH tech like link pyramids and blasts to 2nd tiers etc.
 
Just be careful, if you don't know what you're doing you'll trigger the wrong ads and get smart priced. Definitely make sure you research how to avoid the dreaded .05 clicks
 
No offense but who ever told you , you can make 200 right away from adsense starting out is straight lying to you. Unless you havent told us the secret source for your big traffic, it will be hard to reach these earnings if you are starting out.

Adsense is like building up an empire, most people start from penies and elevate themselves to 1-3 dollars a day if they keep working harder meaning like 6 hours a day minimum.

They dont just start making like 200 a week unless you have money to spend on outsourcing, articles, linkbuilding, etc.
 
You can use whatever platform you want, fb, twitter, or sites. You can promote products or do cpa with all of them, but adsense for sites. In the long run doing SEO with sites will be better though.
 
I agree with other's replies. Adsense is a lot easier than pushing sales. Especially if your niche is targeted on just information. People always have a thirst for more information. So make a couple micro niche sites, or even start an authority site.

Make sure your keywords are easy to rank for, check your competitors and you'll do fine.

Just so you're not disappointed, it may take a couple of months to achieve your goal, if not more. Remember, you can always put clickbank products on your adsense micro niche sites. Just don't go overboard. Maybe one on every other page will do.

Well I've been going for 6 months already and haven;t made a dime so what's another 6 months :D. Though I do have to make at least that figure by april next year as I'm gonna lose some money in another area which is why I planned ahead with the IM factoring in the leanring curve.

Ye so like someone above said I thought I could do both right? Tho of course I don't want to overspam the site to turn visitors away...I'm only promoting one CB product atm anyway.
