My name is Jacob Hagberg and I'm one of the speakers presenting in London this May.

So you're probably wondering, are you going to learn anything new? Heck, maybe you can read it on the forum or buy some course? WRONG...

I was on a fence there, but your videos pushed me towards the final decision regarding ungagged. Your knowledge is beyond beyondeness.
I thought Xrumer developers in 2011, Senuke developers in 2012 or even one of my VA's knew something about forum profile links, but you sir... You are a PRO!
I vote for moving this to Jr Vip before it gets used by noobs around or made in to WSO!

I wonder how these speakers are selected. I am not talking about the quality of these vids maybe you have something smarter to say. But the flow, the tone of your voice... In fact I can't see nothing to make me offer you my full attention when I see you on stage.

Work on that very hard.

Check out the ungagged site. It's all about actionable content. Do they get a copy of how to "talk like ted"? Hell no.

Do we check them out to make sure it's not just a pile of BS? - Absolutely we do. Initial Effort is well know around the forum combined with his well received spot at UnGagged Vegas 2014 and the quality of content he delivered it was a no brainer to ask him back. I'm really happy he agreed.

Hey, Always thank you for the feedback. I'm not a professional video marketer by trade. So anything I put together I really have to work hard at. I'm really a hardcore guy like most of you.

This is just the basic stuff. I used a concept that everyone gets...forum profiles. So use your imagination and think about what you can do on other sites.

Awesome post Jacob. Seeing you in action makes it tempting to want to go see you guys in London.

I was just wondering, are you against building these authority profiles when the links are no-follow? And I'm assuming if you're building these on a new domain with no backlinks already then you'd want to throw a bunch of contextual links at the domain to make up for the non-contextual authority profile links?

1. No, I am a huge fan of DISCQUS and LinkedIn, which are even behind https:// and is no follow.

2. Think of ranking in 3 parts: Power, Trust/Authority and Relevance. So if I have several comments/trackbacks I made using my DISCQUS account pointing at my DISCQUS.com profile about search. This helps with relevance and the trust with the link profile link.. The link by itself on the DISCQUS page probably is not very powerful, but the domain itself passes Trust. Think Wikipedia and think of anchor text as another form of relevance. Now look at power as link juice. Imagine a PR7 domain with a PR2 page (yes, I know PR...blah blah) and a PR3 domain with a PR2 page. 9/10 times you would take the PR7 domain because it passes more trust along with the power. So the more trust you accumulate, the easier it is to rank when the powerful links are applied.
