mine in the past and my conclusion is better buy the token with the fund rather than make mining rig.
hmm maybe mine doge/btc/etc. honestly pow is becoming thing in past now. it has been proved it cannot scale to our needs.
people will go pos more and more in the future.
btw if you plan to sell, better sell now. i think there will be mass gpu sell soon after eth mining stop. there will be overflowing supply.

Also. There are infinite ways to use GPU.
One for example is to train AI.
You can train AI to do a lot of things.
But I guess once crypto mining will be over the price of GPU will dramatically decrease (Thank God)

The way the overall trend is going, yea, profits will suck. I don't see money short term. Even if all the miners pick a chain and increase the value of that project, I don't think it's enough.
To answer the original question, the most probable chain is Ethereum Classic.

Ethereum will be fully centralized which is censorship friendly you need 32 ETH to build a validator node which is $47313.28 in today's value which will put the power of the network in a few hands
