What will be the possible reasons?

Hello Digital Marketing Gurus,

My website ranking is stable now, even we are ranking on the first page for lots of keywords again after the core algorithm update completed. The traffic of the website is reduced as compared to the traffic which we get before the algorithm update.

Now the scenario is that we are again on top for keywords but traffic is down.

So what will be the possible reasons?

Note - No error in the search console and all the pages are crawled and indexed

People are on netflix or ordering essentials from amazon
 
Is your organic traffics only dropped or overall traffic dropped?
 
Soon you will get it back. New algorithm has affected lots of IM gurus sites!
 
Have you seen any drop in the search volume itself?
Check your title and meta description and the title looks goods to the visitors. Make sure the content of your page gives the desired solutions to your visitors. The other site might have some snippets in their results.

@SEOspur mentioned the maximum possible reason for the traffic drop. Apart from those maybe you are ranking for the local search results. As you mentioned previously you are on the software development niche, means you should target all the areas. It is a high competition niche you should target many long tails keywords. Make sure the keyword which you rank for is matching with the user's intent.
 
So let's have things clear: for same top traffic keywords, and same rank position you are getting less traffic?

For example: One of my biggest sites dropped from rank 1 to rank 7 after algorithm update and this provoked a 1/2 drop in my website traffic: pretty obvious
But if your rank is stable for the top traffic keywords it doesn't make any sense (unless the keywords are seasonal)

Analyze all the traffic from each keyword source from Google Analytics... without analytical information, this is impossible to be researched.

Check for your traffic the 30th April and see the list of keywords and the number of clicks, then compare with yesterday's traffic and see the differences (acquisition/search console)
 
Overall volume of searches must've fallen. People are on the run to waste their time.
 
As mentioned above, check with Title and meta description optimize it for search intent and informative for users. Also, make sure content is valuable to the user.
