So many have done it.. what do you think will be the next Facebook, Google, YouTube, etc.

The web is full of so many opportunities and what are your predictions on this?

Facebook,Twitter,Youtube,Pinterest,Google+,etc.. are all social networking sites.

But what I think is its 21 12 2012 which is going to be the NEXT BIG THING on World Wide Web. Apart from that, its just going to be another Entertainment site to spend time online in different way.

I think the next thing will be... Social... and I do not like this but I thing this will be...

I saw many search engine that try to integrate the social factor in searches.... Google seems to also go in this direction whit his new way of provide search result...

So here is what I think will be the future... And I really do not like this...
 
The next big thing will be the free web.
 
A censored internet where only sites that make someone money will be shown.
 
Semantic Web, Microdata and the convergance of the digital experience tailored to an individual user.

This won't be 'finalised' until the end of the decade, but the foundation is being set with Browser sign-ins, customised searches results and Semantic return of data.

Everything will become more 'relevant' to the user, however this could create a form of tunnel vision of information preventing someone from discovering anything new.

Brush up on your HTML 5, and use the Rich Snippets tool whenevr possible (besides, leads to more conversions)

mobile and social. mobile next, social has kinda already happened but still continues to grow.

yes semantic search will be there but it won't be the next big thing. it's just how search engine evolves. search is already big...

the next big thing means something that is not big today but will be big next year. like nobody used video sharing site before 2005 and now everybody goes to youtube. That kind of thing.

my prediction, tablet. Yes a lot of people already use tablet nowadays but it's just for gaming/read books. I predict a productive tablet era to replace laptops.

I think that the web wil be controlled just by the big dogs. Will exist only autoritive websites.
 
Not sure, but I think it will be something to do with smart phones.
 
Definitely something to with smart phones.. maybe a more indepth use of augmented reality?
 
It will be a video based social network. Like a Twitter where you post video status updates. I think there's enough cam whores in the world for that to happen.

There's keek.com which is in beta, which is a good first try at it. But I don't think it will be the video update site to take off.
 
i miss myspace. someone needs to bring something similar like it. the 2006-07 myspace, man i miss it. this time,no major changes..looks like that's when things start to get bad and crappy imo.
 
Social networking & Mobile stuff. 5G is coming out soon....
