What will be done with the HTTP?

I Know, Google announced that they will give more priority to the website who has more security ( e.g SSL) and use https instead of http.
But don't know what will they offer for http.


Have you any Idea? Let write me a reply.

Recent study shows exactly the different. Currently from the top 1000 websites only 20-25% are with SSL . So for my point of view , it could be factor in the future but for now is more or less useless (as an ranking factor). Of course most visitors give more trust to websites with the lovely green key on the top of their url bars . So if you are running an money website then it would be better to spend those extra 10$ for SSL.

I`ve done some test on parasites.
Ones with https usually ranks a little higher.
About fresh domains i haven`t noted any difference.
But i think if you own already an old domain when you convert it on to https will go up for some position like 3 or 4 if you are already on page 3 - 4 .
So basically it helps if you are on very low compt. keywords.
