I am publishing lot more content these days and I need to power it up with backlinks. For no-follow, I use comments, forum, reditt, qna websites.

But I am stuck with how to get at least 1 do-follow link to each article on my website.

I have 300+ posts now. So paying someone $10 for every guest post link building is not financially possible for me. And these good SEO agencies have rates starting from $50 for high metric links.

So then I search google and find articles from backlink and niel patel about strategies like
Broken link building,
infographics,
HARO,
List posts,
Stats related posts,
Reverse image search,
Appear in interviews and podcasts,
publish quiz
and whatnot.

Currently, I am one-man army on this website so I cannot first try each one to see what is a good working strategy.
Can someone help here about a solid backlink strategy that I can follow for all my existing articles?

You don't have to link build for every single post. Save your time and choose wisely. Just link on posts where you find the potential of ranking for certain keywords.

Just a tip, read everything that Niel Patel writes and then do the exact opposite, you will see results soon.

I would advise you to not build links for each post in your website.

From my experience:

1. It is very important to build links to homepage.
2. If you build links to any page in a specific category, then other pages in the same category will pick up rankings with time.
3. The ranking algorithm in Google is a stepped process, so it takes months (around 6+) for a page to actually settle in rankings unless it has very less competition.

So, be patient and crank out quality articles to post on your site and build links with a medium velocity and don't forget to build links to the homepage (as many people skip this).

About me:
I have 10+ sites that make a decent monthly online income and have been doing SEO and experimenting from a long time. One of my sites get over 1 million unique visitors a month.

Thanks for valuable insight. I tool realize now that building backlinks for each and every article is not possible.

I target to get backlinks to my home page and categories from:
entrepreneur
forbes
theguardian
hbr
cnn

I am publishing 4-8 articles (1000 words) per day. I have hired 10 writers as of now.

What actionable ways would you suggest for building backlinks for home page (free or paid)?
