What Web Browser Do You Use And Why?

Hey everyone.

Got myself yet another new laptop the other day, and proceeded to install firefox. Its installed the new version 4.0 i think it is, and tried to use roboform with it, however its not happening at all.

I then went to downgrade to previous version, but was met with information about the last version having security issues. I unistalled it, tried using internet explorer, but then realised why I used firefox in the first place because I.E gives me nothing but "internet explorer is not responding".

My friend recommended Opera, but to be honest I really like firefox, especially with the addons and plugins that are available, especially seo orientated plugins such as seo toolbar etc.

So I guess my question is, is firefox safe, and if not, which is the best browser to use and why?...

Chrome, all tabs are run as a different processes so incase if any of the tab crashes, it doesn't affects the whole browser. And also it is much smoother and not laggy like Firefox. Also, I've seen most of the addons for Firefox now are available for Chrome too.
 
Firefox 3.6.whatever basically because I need to use lots of the addons. I use Opera and Safari to test sites and of course IE. Never really got into Chrome, I try and stay away from all Google products for obvious reasons.
 
I was using Firefox but in last 6 months I am on Chrome.. Firefox was huge resource hog... And also most of addons from Firefox are available for Chrome.. But In last moth I am thinking to go back on Firefox, because I am starting to be little paranoid about Chrome, Google and all of that...

I am using firefox 4.0 with roboform, work perfectly fine, haven't updated to 4.10 thoguh.
Firefox has better resource management when I compare it to v3.xx
I will never use chrome, its owned by google. It doesn't allow meta refresh redirects and so much more..

Chrome, for my faster than firefox and a LOT faster than ie(anyone still using this :p ).

Never tried opera or safari.

Now I see it depends on purpose.

Chrome isn't open source. Google open sourced part of Chrome and the open source part is called Chromium, which is a different product. Chrome comes as a precompiled closed source binary and it has a bunch of other shit in it apart from what's in Chromium.

Healthy paranoia is a good thing!

Yeah I also think that paranoia is good within certain limits...

I tried firexox 4 and it seems faster that last version I used.. I think I will give it a shot...
 
I used IE for years but now IE just sucks.

I was very skeptical about Chrome. I dubbed it a failure.

But I've drank the cool aid and I'm a Chrome believer.
 
Just Firefox 3.6 lol maybe I'm not up 2 date, but i have many many plugins installed (seo related, live http headers etc) and im familiar to use all of them, so ff became a very usefull webtool for me, nomore just a browser.

Regarding speed, I dont realy understand the issues of the others I think it's quite okay.

And still the safest browser available in my eyes (open source).

Oh sorry my bad, should have researched before, I thought Chromium and chrome were same shit....

Try the Iron browser, its based on the chromium build but with the G tracking shit supposed to be removed.
 
IE to check my pages and how they behave for most visitors to my sites
Chrome because of its sandbox and running all of Google crap
Firefox for the plugins
Opera because its the most standard
 
Funny. People are using chrome and always yelling about Google. Go on clever boys.

To be clear: Never use any of Google products.
 
I use Firefox.

Fuck Chrome, Google already has enough info about me.
