You can check their backlinks, look for opportunities and weaknesses.
You can get a good flavour of the range of keywords - money, longtail and related keywords that page is ranking for. You can look at the content and media and try to figure out why.
Your page should be unique so you don't just copy title or description. Meta keywords - lol they are dead!

You can also check:
1) The anchor list research. ( I often make some diagrams to define how many anchor text did my competitors use.
2) Keywords research.
3) Check competitors websites structure. ( check SERP to make your own website better than they did ).

u can find DA , backlinks and new keywords.....

If you look at their backlinks, most will be hidden but there are always some which slip through, 9/10 of my competitors have pbns showing in their backlinks

If you really want outrank your competitor then you need to follow few steps and we need to use few seo tools.
Tools are Following :
1 . Ahrefs is best ( Many Gurus Recommended in 2017)
2. Majestic
3. Alexa
4. Spyfu
5. Semrush enough
Domain Age still matter. but don't worry about this . you need to focus on your website . just go to Ahrefs and Put your competitor website in ahrefs backlink analyzer. there you'll see all backlinks of our competitors . you need to Repeat Same Process in all tools and make a spread sheet or excel sheet. you should check your competitor all links that he get in 1st day . Now use here (Scrapbox) and make filter for backlinks . where you explore all backlinks . Filter all spammy links and if you see 20 backlinks in 100s . this is very good for you. these 20 backlinks can increase authority of your domain.
2nd . if you want to do manual work then simple follow their backlinks and put your link also but keep in mind don't add your website in spam web. Your competitor has old website and surely he has good traffic its mean he has balance of backlinks. but you keep in mind your domain is new so you should make quality backlink in start. hope this answer will help you thank you

yes they are but above in list if we use them i think enough . if we add tools then will be many amazing tools you can see
