I'm using Wordpress, and as most of you know there's a box at the end of each post/homepage etc that lets you enter in your keywords for that page. In the past I've done this:

Example:
Red car,buy red car, best red car, cool red cars, etc, etc.

But somebody told me I should be doing something like this instead:

Red car,buy,best,cool, etc

Which one is best for SEO? Have I been doing it wrong for all of this time? I've sites that rank well even though I do this :/ but I'm trying to rank a new site and want to do things right as it could potentially make a lot of money

Thanka

Not 100% sure but i would go with the full word each time. Better safe than sorry

I have read that meta keywords do not at all effect your site seo. I have read that from the creator of popular WordPress seo plugin developer and WordPress seo "expert". And I've seen a video of a google employee saying that google does not consider meta keywords when ranking pages.

Then again I don't believe anything anyone says;)

I would say still include them just to have the info. They don't really hold very much value due to how much abuse they have had over the years. If your'e looking for a great WordPress plugin, do a search for SEO Pressor. It's been really helpful to me for on page optimization.

Yep , I heard about this plugin and i must say its been one of th best you can avail. So try it out .....

Thanks!

If considered keywords I will go for the full keywords... but if I have to put in the title or alt tags etc... I prefer the 2nd pattern.
