I’ve seen cloaking discussed a lot here, but mostly in theory.
For those who’ve tried it before, how would you describe your overall experience?
Did it meet expectations or create more challenges than benefits?

You don't use it because you want, you use it when there's no way not to cloaking. Overall experience is shit, I prefer much stable white hat, but if you're working with pharma, gambling - you simply can't work without it.

Over the last many years, I have been using cloakers / cloaking in Google Ads search campaigns. A campaign wil last a few days or even a few months. The is a whole lot of variables in the mix. So, keep Google Ads accounts handy, to rinse and repeat when a suspended Google Ads account does not get reactivated upon appeal.

For me it was smoother once I switched to TrafficShield, it made traffic handling easier but you still have to manage things carefully.

Yeah, I felt the same. Earlier it was a bit messy and hard to control, but after using TrafficShield things became more predictable. Still needs attention, but overall the experience was smoother compared to before.

I’ve used cloakers on a few projects, mostly for nutra and casino campaigns. Setting up filters and warming accounts took a little time to fully understand, since you have to see how traffic behaves and adjust things carefully. For me, TrustCloaker worked well. It’s been easy to manage and affordable, and it fit my campaigns fine.

Cloaking can be tempting for quick gains, but my experience suggests it often creates more headaches than it's worth. While it might initially boost rankings, maintaining a consistent cloaking setup is technically demanding and carries significant risk of being penalized by search engines if detected. Ultimately, focusing on transparent, user-friendly content tends to yield longer-term, sustainable results.
