Loooong time ago- lol... Squidoo, Digg, Bookmark and Article sharing submission portals.. Those sites that would let you fill in the fields once and then you could just click to each site and it would auto fill and you could just click submit..Slideshare and similar .PDF sharing sites and I found a great way to get traffic from peer peer sharing software like Frostwire..created multi layered Link wheels plus the usual suspects..Youtube Facebook ..and on and on.. Back then I could rank page one for popular events the day of the event..made very high five figures on a Mayweather fight once..built a Blogger blog the day of the fight.and used that google juice(Google owns/owned Blogger folks missed that, it was in googles best interest to rank those free blogs) so, I ranked page one for "Watch Mayweather vs Mosley free online" Then banked another couple grand on
"Watch Mayweather vs MosleREPLAY free online"
.. which was extremely popular keyword combination..Put a quick video of the preliminary bouts to garner Trust and BAM! ..They did get the fight after completing a trial offer or they could make a donation
, because I linked them to a few streaming sites that were actually carrying the Fight... Ah yes, The Good old days. DAMN! That was the good old days. Money flowing like a skilled Poet

first traffic source was SEO, though i didn't realize it was SEO.
i had been blogging for about a month (i don't think we called it blogging back then) when i started getting comments, some real, some spam, and couldn't figure out how people were finding my blog until i realized all my links i was posting around the web to get people to click were helping me to game search engines. maybe mid 2000s, like 2005. back then keyword links were like the only way to get an edge on google, and someone had trolled George W. Bush by creating backlinks with something like "utter failure" or something and ranked #1 for that keyword and the dollar signs started rolling in my eyes.

Instagram, a Bunch of accounts on jarvee promoting CPA offers. Then I started doing the samething with Clickbank offers when Instagram started banning Instagram CPA accounts.

The first traffic source was youtube, I was doing game hacks videos + youtube views to rank! That was back in 2014 the good old days!
