What was your first mistake in IM?

Having "Broad" selected in adwords instead of "Exact" when doing my first keyword research. I was so excited when I got my site to the first page within a week. It took me ages to figure out why I was only getting one or two viewers a day for a niche that was supposedly getting around 1,900 searches a month. Clicking Exact took that number down to about 110 a month. Yeah, I felt pretty stupid.

Whats the difference? Its too late an i cant think clearly :) ....

Hm...Loggin in BHW. Go direct to Download section. Look for new software, e-book, IM course, etc. Get it. Install, Read or Watch it. IM Guru from e-book, course, software recommended another "necessary" tools to make x,xxx on month. Back here... Go to Download section. Look for this must have tool, book, course, etc... I see new cool share. Get it... ;) Rise and repeat in wrong way.

My biggest mistake was relying on 1 market. I "was' in the real estate market for a long time, and when the bubble busted in 2006, I went under. Big time.

I knew then, I have to spread myself out and target other markets. So, when one goes south, another will stay a float. I have my hands in just about everything, but porn.

Dont switch shit up. Dont try something, then when you dont see results in 20 seconds, move onto the next thing. Be patient.

This. I still do it to this day. It's hard to pick one when the site has so many great ideas :D

Made a lot of mistakes and I don't remember the first one. However, my biggest regret is that I started off too late. Just kept reading stuff without taking action.

Laziness and information overload. But the biggest mistake is to think you can exploit loopholes for a living. This is why most never make any money. Methods come and go? Selling something valuable should be the main goal in everybody?s business.

Thinking I can make millions at the push of a button over night.

Mine is to click my own adsense ads. I thought that changing IP, changing user-agent, and clearing browser history/cookies will get it the work done. Really stupid of me.

This has some real awesome tips! Mine would defiantly be not taking action and reading and learning though forums and books rather then through experience. It seems like that is the number 1 reason! I think no matter how dedicated we are we all get distracted sometimes and we should try improving on it. Thanks everyone for these reminders!

Way to many mistakes. I've researched and researched, and still made mistakes. Given money to services that did a complete trash job. Gave money to people who ran off with it. Invested in things that didn't return anything at all. Acted before i knew what i was doing. Spent money on unoptimized poor advertising. Just way too much to even think about.

Just gotta keep going tho. :D

I wish that I thought about the getting in this frame of mind years before...
oh well, that is just the progression of life I suppose.

I also tend to get in these odd moods where I believe there is no way I can do anything.
Im able to think myself out of that thankfully.

I have started building websites just now, one mistake I did was that I brought a domain related to a limited keyword. I had added about 30 articles there now but cannot think of any other topics at all .
