I'm thinking to start a blog site but could not decide what is the most effective one to use. Can you share your experiences with me with using one? Thanks.
What was the first free blogsite that you used, and did it generate results?

I used blogger, tumblr & wordpress. (that's wordpress.com)
Blogger was more of a personal blog back in the days, it generated a bit, then when i went serious in IM, I used blogger + paid for a domain (inside blogger's services, ouch it was expensive) It made me quite a lot.
Tumblr, tumblr tumblr, it made quick a bit back before the porn purge
Wordpress was a failure and that project was quickly abandoned.
BUT !!!!
If you are seriousss about going IM, these "free blogs" ain't worth your time.
You are better off investing some shared hosting (there deals that are like $10~20 a year that comes with a domain!!! It's pretty shit but it's good to start up and experiment on)+ a domain and use a CMS like wordpress.org

It was 2009 when I started my first blog as I was beginner in SEO. The most important things that time for me to find a good websites to create backlinks.
So I've created blogspot blog with all the possible submissions sites list. Load many lists with proper seo and backlinks. Those days were not difficult to get google ranking.
My blog was ranking for few keywords instantly and generating traffic. So I enabled google adsense after a month. But later on Google suspended google adsense saying "Invalid activity" My reaction was - what did I do ( you know their algorithm sucks)
Now after 12 years, I no longer have that blog running nor I am intending to do so now. Well, that's my first experience with my own first blog.

My first free blog website was blogger or blogspot you can say I created around 2015. Man it was amazing experience and with just 2-3 post the blog is ranking for few of the competitive keywords. It is still with me but not working now. But still I get few visits here and there on that blog.

First free one I used was Geocities, but I wasn't really looking for results. I was just having fun, posting pictures of WWF superstars, anime fighters, visual basic progs, and everything else I found interesting at the time. There was no structure to what I was doing. I was just having fun.

2016-2018 blogger and wordpress, blogger with costume domain, so it only costs to buy the domain, I'm generated traffic with social media (paid & free) mostly paid traffic using fb ads, and monetized with adsense, generate good results about 5-15x ROI from fb ads to adsense

Can you tell me more about BTC?? Is the BTC the trend now? I read about it years ago, was planning to join, but I did not want to take the risk.Ofcourse
