What was I doing wrong?

I signed up with a company (maxbounty) and got accepted. I took a link (IRS Tax relief) that had 20$/lead. I then posted an ad on CL giving away a "free laptop". I got about 100 responses. I replied to all of them saying I'll give it to you but first sign up (link). Around 5 did, so I made about 100$ a day doing this for a week. Then my account got terminated for fraud. I had cloaked my link with the cpa redirector plugin for wordpress onto one of my sites. What did I do wrong, and how could I have fixed it?

The traffic never converted so that may be why you got banned.

Yep thats for sure..
What happened was traffic quality was bad or all the leads were returned due to bogus info.
Advertiser did not pay MB and MB cannot pay you if they are not paid.
What you could have done was to stay under the radar and should have not be making $100/day for sure..

Next time becarefull to select offer when you SPAM CL, I guess simple ZIPCODE submit should work too / dating has beeen best thu.
As always , be creative and try to think from advertisers view not just a network, hope this helps.

I've had the same problem recently. My new strategy is to keep my earnings low with each network everyday and spread it across 10-20 networks making like $10/day with zip/e-mail submits. Throw some white hat traffic in their and you should be good.

People don't like getting fucked over. They will complain if they realize you've done it. Also, a free laptop ad is a dead giveaway that you're scamming some offer. So, you could have been send your message to some affiliate managers who contacted you trying to figure out who to ban.

You're going to need to think about how not to fuck people if you want to get paid. Just a thought. I know it's pretty radical.
