I want to increase my visibility on LinkedIn What type of posts perform best for reach and engagement Should I focus on text posts carousels or short videos and what structure works best

posts with a short opinion or strong viewpoint on a topic also get more reach because they start a discussion. Posts with practical tips or “lessons learned” are also liked because they provide direct value and people save or share them. Also, if the starting lines of the post are strong and there is a question at the end, engagement increases, which pushes LinkedIn’s algorithm even further. In short, content that is simple, human, and conversational works best on LinkedIn.

consistency matters more than format at the start. Text posts that tell a simple story or share a clear insight tend to get strong organic reach if they hook attention in the first 1–2 lines. Carousels also perform well when they break down value in an easy, swipeable way, while short videos can boost engagement if they feel natural and not overproduced. Try mixing all three, then double down on whichever one your audience responds to most.

Posts that get maximum impressions are simple storytelling text posts, value-driven carousels, and short native videos with strong hooks and clear insights that encourage comments and shares.

To increase visibility on LinkedIn, the best-performing content usually includes short text posts, carousels, and short videos. Text posts work well for storytelling and personal insights, carousels are highly effective for educational content and step-by-step tips, while short videos attract attention quickly and boost engagement. A strong post structure should start with a compelling hook in the first line, provide clear value or a lesson, and end with a question or call to action to encourage comments. Consistency, authenticity, and content that solves professional problems are key to growing reach and engagement on LinkedIn.

algo favors engagement loops. posts that trigger comments early get pushed more. strong opening line, simple structure, and clear takeaway works better than overpolished content
