Apply yourself for a role there or hire someone if it is that important.

You will not get any valuable info from copying the front end code, everyone can do that.

i believe i don't understand exactly what you mean with "Still I don't know what else i need to do.". so you are going to copy a webpage and then create a new domain with the same content and structure? but have you already done that? or are you asking how to copy?

I agree, copying the front end does exactly nothing as far insights into business logic goes.

You could check how they do seo but that's that.

For true insights it's best to pretend to be a potential investor, buyer or sneak in there as employee. I've seen all these things happen before lol

You don't need to strictly duplicate/copy the competitor' website/pages,
Aim for similar and as much as possible better overall content that matches the same user search intent & provides better UX,

Other than that, you need to have/build similar or ideally better authority by getting backlinks, that matters even more,
Ahrefs or Semrush are the best for spying/checking your competitor(s) backlinks, the rest depends on how good you're

If you want to properly spy on competitors beyond just copying page structure, tools like Ahrefs and Semrush are your best bet. They let you analyze backlink profiles, content performance, keyword gaps, and link gap opportunities - so you can see exactly what’s helping them outrank you.

Both platforms now include AI-driven insights that highlight growth trends, authority signals, and missed opportunities, which are becoming increasingly important in today’s search landscape. When you combine this data with strong content and intent matching, you can reverse-engineer what’s actually working instead of guessing.

You’ll never see the full picture, no matter what tools you use. In many niches competitors run private PBNs, owned sites, and redirect assets that are deliberately blocked from tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, and similar crawlers, so large parts of their link profile are invisible.

What you can actually read is the public layer: which pages they push and how aggressive their link building pace is over time. Past that, results come from testing your own setups, not spying harder.
