What tools do you use alongside scripting?

As I’m learning more about scripting, I’m realizing it’s not just about the language itself but also the tools people use alongside it.
I’m curious:
What editors or environments do you prefer?
Are there any tools that make scripting easier or faster?
Trying to set up a simple workflow as a beginner, so any recommendations would be helpful.

VS code, though depends on the language you're using
