I’ve been experimenting with this whole Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) idea for a while now. Honestly, I don’t think there’s a single “perfect tool” yet, but here’s what I’ve tried:
So far, GEO feels like a mix of AI + SEO software + manual tweaking. It’s messy, but works better than just letting AI run wild.
Curious what others here are using. Anyone found a proper GEO stack that actually scales? Or are we all just duct-taping tools together at this point?
- ChatGPT / GPT-4/5 / Jasper → good for quick drafts, but if you post them raw it just reads like AI fluff. On one of my health niche sites, I had to rewrite at least 50–60% of the output before it was usable.
- SurferSEO / Clearscope → pretty useful for structuring articles and clustering keywords. I noticed a couple of posts indexed faster when using Surfer, though rankings didn’t hold unless I made manual edits.
- CTR tracking → I set up a small script pulling data from Google Search Console. Funny enough, the pages where I only changed the titles + meta descriptions (no content edits) saw CTR bumps of around 10–15%.
