Hello,

Looking for what i should think about when acquiring linkedin profile? Assume the profile is US-based profile with 1000+ connections and verified

- How would these transactions look like? Will the email login be provided as well typically?
- How to ensure I not getting scammed? Do I pay first, then get the details, or how does it work?
- Should I ask if the person behind the account knows the account is being rented out?
- Anything more I need to think of?

acquiring a LinkedIn account, particularly an established "aged" or
"verified" account, is a strategy often used to bypass the
slow growth of new profiles or to scale outreach quickly.
However, this practice is directly against LinkedIn’s
Terms of Service and carries high risks of, suspension,
and reputational damage

Getting an aged or verified LinkedIn account may seem like a fast way to grow, but it breaks LinkedIn rules and can lead to suspension and damage your reputation.

Biggest thing is risk most issues with bought/rented profiles come from ownership disputes or recovery later.
Usually sellers provide the email login too, but even then the original owner can sometimes recover the account, so nothing is 100% safe.

To reduce risk:
• Make sure email + recovery options are fully transferred
• Check profile history/activity, not just connections count
• Avoid profiles with recent email/password changes
• Use some kind of middleman/escrow if possible

And yes, ideally the real owner should know otherwise recovery risk is much higher.
In general, older active profiles with real history are way safer than “fresh but verified” ones.
