What to put as Alt Tags on Image?

Hey,

So Recently was Pointed out by someone that all the images on my home page do not contain alt-tags. I have about 18 Images on the page. Some are Brand Images of other companies, Some just Background images and a couple of logos. I am not sure what alt-tags would I put on them. Will all of them be my main keyword but that sounds like stuffing. Little Help please, Thanks!

ALT tags or ALT attributes are "alternative text" for an image. ALT tags are used to describe the image or what the image is representing. One of the main purposes of ALT tags is for the benefit of visually impaired users who use screen readers when browsing.

Yes, there is some legislation can't remember if it's in the UK or USA, but you HAVE to have alt tags or you are discriminating against the disabled.

Use variations of your keyword, long tails etc

You can have the description of the image in a simple manner as it would help to understand easily for disabled people

You can use close variants or other misspelled versions of your keywords which also have search volumes on them. We use alt tags in that way.

anything that describes the images, should contain your keywords of course

Alt text display, when you're image not load. So make sure, alt-tag should be what exactly is image about.
