What to look for when buying a domain?

So i have some spare cash and have been looking at buying a few domain names, and then parking them while i build up one at a time. I just don't really know what to look for, and wondered if anyone has some advice?

I have found an available expired domain with 5 million global monthly searches (exact) but only an average of $0.25 CPC for this domain, is this good? and should I try to make a blog on there with adsense or not?

Are you 100% sure?

If your figures are correct then yes, that is very good.

Im pretty sure its correct, it is not a .com domain name and i know nothing about what the subject is. It also has no backlinks or alexa ranking.

But Im thinking maybe its too good to be true as I have found a few similar ones as well. Posted screenshot below

There is also one with 11m searches for the keyword, but it was dropped 121 days ago and no one has snapped it up. Does anyone have any other websites that i can check for expired domains on?
