What to expect...

A brand relations & public relations firm has reached out to me (they seem on the level with some well known celebrities and brands on their books) they have reached out to me asking to partner up with a client they have who is in the media a fair bit (news papers) does work a well known family.

HOWEVER they are being super quiet about what they actually want from me.. I've requested details but I keep being told all will be discussed in our meeting next week.

My questions:

- Is this normal? I just don't understand why they can't tell me what the relationship will be, just seems like a waste of everyones time other wise or again is this normal?

- Are they going to want to some money rather than a cross promotion? I figures its money and going to be a couple of grand

- Not at this before apart from your average YouTube reach out for free stuff

They tell me the person really likes my brand and wants to work with me - however I don't know if this is a standard sales and blowing smoke up my ass, as the original connect seemed generic but the more emails have gone back and forth the more they seem to personalise it but I know that's a bit of a sales tactic.

I know there's not much to go off without saying who, the agency and exposing my niche. I've just got no clue how this kind of "high" profile thing works..

I'm expecting them to be asking me for 10k or something daft like that.

just be sure all their data is legit.

and always be careful, take care of the situation, take your time to decide
know what you gonna earn and what will cost you and make it as easy as simple maths
don't panic, take it easy and you'll be fine

scam became art in today's world! scammers can come up with amazing stories that can make you tear up!
It could be legit, and it could be total BS to screw you over!
Make sure to research them, and always protect your assets, never hand over any sensitive data about your business untill the deal is signed on paper!

Sound like a scam to me. Surely if a someone want's to work with you, your the one that should be getting paid? Don't hand over any cash, not even a small starter fee.

I think they are setting you Up.
but whats there to lose though in a meeting.
