what to do...??

evening all..... have a situation and wanted some advice...

was buying a few domains earlier, whilst doing so i was checking a fair few domains for availability etc, and inadvertently added one to my basket. its a .uk domain, the .co.uk version is a well known domain, worth of web lists it as having a value of in excess of $50,000000... fb page has over 5 million likes etc etc..... the name is not trademark protected, only logo. so what do i do with the site, use it for myself, sell it... no idea. am really surprised that it was available tbh, didnt realise it was in my basket until after checkout. (bulk purchased 20+ domains)....

I am no IM expert, but I'd SELL the thing. Even at 10%, you're sitting pretty. Greed corrupts. I'd count my blessings before God takes them away due to "lack of gratitude".

will sit on it for a while and see what happens. still shocked it was available tbh, surprised i have not had an email asking for it

have done trademark search and only the logo is marked, not the words so am safe in that respect as i am not going to add any content to the site

But if you sit on it too long, the value may drop. April 21 and the Google Update is right around the corner. Get advice from some of the IM geniuses on here..or one of the Chiefs.

Surprised you were able to register it. There is a reservation period for existing customers who already have a .co.uk and other second-level domains to claim the corresponding .uk domain. Deadline is June 10th 2019.

thats for domains registered with .co.uk before june 2014. this one was registered this year which is why there is no reservation in place

Yeah, use it. You'd get an offer for double the amount if you are not afraid of 7x5-size bullies.

Google.co.uk is quite famous I must say...

BTW, google is the only 6-letter domain in the top 6 global alexa rankings. lol. Think what you'd get if you sell it or even rent it. $,$$$,$$$,$$$.cc

no, it is nothing like facebook..... is quite a well known site over here in the uk...... to anyone aged 16-40 i would say.... gets a lot if traffic via fb.... like i said, the .co.uk which they own ranks in the top 5000 global rank... but i now have the .uk version.... by mistake lol......

most of the .uk are reserved, if the .co.uk was registered before june 2014...
