So, I have created YouTube Channel A few months ago, and I have monetized it, It has few Long form videos which helped me get the monetization but after few videos my Views were not enough earning 4 Dollars. and I am not patient person and with YouTube algo acting like a school you have to graduate from before you can earn anything tangible. I thought to my self why not turn the channel to Shorts.

I got A million views! and some tangible views in my videos, Every video I posted was minimum 45k views, But the earnings were peanuts and not what I expected. I earned 75 paid already and 15 sitting on my adsense now.

When I got bored and realized the reality of It, I am not enthusiastic about it now and it can be seen from my late views which have dropped dramatically although I can get the usual 45k views on shorts still.

I was wondering, Shall I connect my channel to MCN ? and If I try to sell it, How much can I earn from selling such channel ?

It is the only channel Monetized that I got since 2018 which was the last time that I was YouTube partner, So don't want to sell it if it is not worthed .

any opinions and suggestions are appreciated here

If you're still pulling 45k views consistently on Shorts, that’s already a strong signal. Even if earnings are low, the channel clearly has potential. You could experiment with new short formats or find ways to monetize indirectly (affiliates, funnels, etc.). As for the MCN option, it can help with some backend tasks but they usually take a significant cut, so do the math. Regarding selling, price depends on niche, consistency, CPM, and whether the content is fully original. If this is your only monetized channel since 2018, it might be smarter to keep growing it instead of letting it go.

An MCN might help with resources, but they often take a big cut. Selling your channel could fetch $500-$2K+ depending on subs/watch hours, but weigh if it’s worth losing your only monetized asset.

Hey,

The first thing you need to understand is youtube is a long term game, you need to have patience to earn money from youtube, this is exactly what youtube also wants, they don't want to reward creators who make spamming, low quality or even repetitive content and also mainly no consistency.

To see any kind of results in long form videos generally you have to wait for a minimum of 3-6 months, that is if you want 100% organic growth.
FOCUS on trending topics and title it properly seo/clickbait title, and then work on your ctr and video retention, FOCUS on getting return viewers.

NOW if you do not have the patience then you can do promotions and such however keep in mind promotions work as long as the video itself is good quality and people like to watch, so again focus on the video optimization part.

Again just a reminder youtube is a long term game and you need to experiment, experience and learn a lot based on the niche, observe competitors, learn about your audience etc. Take it bit by bit.

Yes shorts is a good way to get high views and subscribers however earning potential is low and once your channel is adapted to shorts content it will take a while for youtube to start promoting your long form videos. So either start with a new channel from scratch or get an active aged channel that has more of long form videos than short ones.

Goodluck and stay consistent.. you will can win!

Do some market research on account marketplaces and possibly sell it if you don't have motivation to work with it anymore

Your channel still has value since you get consistent views on Shorts. If you’re feeling bored, try switching up your content to stay motivated. Selling it is an option, but only if you get a good price. As for MCNs, be careful, most don’t add much value and may take a big cut.

YouTube is a patience game. You have to have patience in any online work actually - YouTube is not exceptional.
