I made 2 websites about a year ago, wrote 20+ long, really informative articles on each site (amazon reviews and general). Designed the sites, made social media accounts, amazon links and banners, adsense etc.

The problem is that they didn't even made $100 in a year and I don't want to renew their hosting plan. (Bluehost hosting, wordpress surface.)

What's the logical step to do? I thought about saving the articles with the amazon links and posting them on a free blog, like tumblr. Or should I search for free hosting and move the site? (I don't exactly know how to do that and I don't really want to work on these sites anymore.) Or should I just forget these sites and think about it as a learning experience? (I even have 1500+ followers on insta, twitter /accounts, so that's why I'm thinking about continue them as blogs, maybe starting a tumblr and posting 1 article/week from the sites.)

Get a shared hosting account at namechap.

https://www.namecheap.com/hosting/shared.aspx

Value package will only cost $9.98 for first year. After a year, you can simply make a backup, cancel the hosting and buy again at $9.98 price.

Renewing 2 domains will cost you $20 only.

So all in all, it will cost $30 a year to renew 2 domains and hosting package. Even if you make $100 in a year from these 2 sites, it will still be profit.

I will advice you to keep the websites, put more content, take Adsense off and focus on Amazon alone. Why do I say take Adsense off, bcos it takes a lot of earning opportunities off an Amazon site, as they are all in the face of the visitors, rather than clicking on your links, they would click on the Adsense links, which earns you less per cpc; whereas Amazon commission on any sales that could be generated would earn you more.

You need to read more about making money with Amazon review websites on this form, see what others are doing right, since you have made money with this website then you can make more if you implement whatever tactics you learn from others. A $100 website could go to a $1000/month website if things are done right.

Most of the time when i hear this 3 things come to mind. Whats the quality of your posts? You can have 100 posts but they all provide very little value to the visitors. Whats the design? If the design doesnt look sleek and premium expect a high bounce rate and little commissions. Now, for the last part, how did you undertake keyword research? how are you ranking? This could also be a problem.

Reading your original post it sounds like you made 2 sites, got them to a basic setup (2 articles + some links) and then left them. You didn't keep adding articles, didn't keep adding links, etc. Did you work on these sites all year long and still only made $100 between them ?

These days you need to work hard at new sites to get them moving. These type of sites are not the ones which are going to go viral, gain likes, etc. So unless your building the links then your rankings are not going to improve.

As others have said $100 on a cheap plan will work and at least make you profitable but if your not willing to put in the work you are better off selling the sites for a few $$$'s and just moving on to something else which you are more passionate about.

Unique content ?
Good keyword research ?
Had any penalties ?

Thank you guys! The thing is that only one of the two sites made money (the amazon review site), the other site is a more like a "how to"-site in a spiritual niche (meditations, etc.). I'm going to move the amazon review site to Namecheap and work on it an hour every day since I still see potential in it. I'm going to close the other site and create a short e-book from the articles in it. I don't really know if I should make money from this e-book, maybe I'll put affiliate links in it to books in the same niche and just give the e-book for free on forums.

I got same situation here also, got an amazon aff. site but no income from it. Site got good stat PA:33 DA:20 CF:27 TF:22, Can I put adsense on it ? Couple of days ago i insert another PPC called adsomi on it but no luck. Clean site no penalties.

Sorry OP to steal your thread as i'm in same situation as you. Any suggestion would be great.

You need traffic on your site... put unique content on your site.
This will help you.

Another way to increase income is geo-localization and translation. Join all available amazon associates programs and use a service that will auto-localize all aff link to the proper Amazon storefront for the visitors country. Translating at the sub-domain level will allow BigG to index in more than just Google US. This does take planning but it's def worth the footwork.

PM me links of both. Im always buying.
Do you buy sites that are already making money? :P

OP, you can move the websites to namecheap as others suggested and for $9+, you can host the 2 websites for a year.
Also, did you do any keyword research? Are you tracking the ranking?
