what to do with the funds

i paid a funds to a meta ad account but it still cost the card and when i try to remove the card it tells me the ads will stop running, how can i make meta take money from the funds

Do you mean you've linked two bank cards? If so, please check your payment priority order.
 
no just 1 bank card and it is still cost the cards not from funds
 
Try leaving your payment card empty or temporarily blocking your payment card.
 
You need to switch the payment method priority so the prepaid balance is set as the primary, otherwise Meta will always charge the card first.

Set the prepaid balance as the primary method, then the card wont be charged. After that, you can remove the card without stopping the ads.

If your card is still the primary payment card, they will still deduct money from that card. You need to transfer your prepaid amount to the priority payment. Meta will only use your balance and card as backup.
 
You can only use the added balance if your ad account is prepaid.
If your account is postpaid, Meta will always charge your card.
→ Solution: switch to or create a prepaid ad account, then add funds there.
 
Meta always uses your primary payment method first, then your prepaid funds.
To make it use the funds, set the prepaid balance as your main payment method or remove the card after the balance is added.
If it warns ads will stop, pause the ads, switch the payment method, then resume.

please where can i switch to prepaid account type, and the funds will still used if i switched ?

If you set your fund as the primary source and double check the payment settings, Meta should automatically use it before charging your card.
 
To prevent Meta from automatically deducting money from your card when you already have a prepaid balance, you must actively adjust your settings. The principle is: you need to set your prepaid balance as your primary payment method. If the card is still the primary payment method, Meta will default to deducting money from the card first. After switching priority, Meta will use all of your prepaid balance, and your card will only act as a backup method in case of need.
 
Meta usually charges the primary card first. Make sure your prepaid balance is set as the main payment method, otherwise it won’t use it. Switch the card to backup or lower its priority and it should start pulling from the funds.
 
if you have prepaid for the advertising account, FB will prioritize the payment first, and the card will be paid later.

Did you create a campaign with a budget larger than the prepaid balance? It's possible that FB will hold an amount equal to the prepaid campaign budget.
 
When you add funds to a prepaid balance, Meta will still charge the card if the balance is not actually being used for the active campaigns.
