Hi guys. Basically, my IG page has grown to 110k followers but recently i have been fairly inactive. An average post gets between 1k-2k likes.

I was thinking, how easy would it be to re-brand the page to the minimalist jewellery niche and have a shopify store linked to it? I would say about 80% of my followers are women.

Would it even be worth trying this or will it just piss off my followers and then they all unfollow

PS - Has anyone tried to re-brand their Instagram account? And if so, how well did it go?

It's a hard question to answer. Just because the majority of your followers are women doesn't really mean anything. In my experience, people on Instagram follow users only if you deem what they post interesting. If you start posting something else suddenly, they won't engage with it and over time they might even unfollow you.

If your account used to get better engagement and growth, maybe it's worth trying to revive it using the same strategy as before. Just an idea.

Would be handy if you tell your current niche first.
my current niche is tattoos

Yeah I think what i might do then is try to revive this account, whilst growing a new account for the shopify store alongside it

That is certainly a niche I like as I worked in many tattoo shops and covered from the head down.

I am not sure if I would want to risk a page like that for crappy Chinese jewelry.

I was thinking more of trying to create an actual brand out of it, for the long term. Most big brands on Instagram are sourcing there products from China.

But apart from a few shoutouts here and there, there isnt much money to be made from this page as a tattoo feature page

You are not thinking outside the box.

You could offer shout outs or even consider selling it.
