What to do with askimet??

ok so i contacted askimet and told them to remove my domain from their spam list.. well they did that within an hour and i appreciate that.

but after i start commenting, i commented on around 15 blogs and I guess one of them may not have liked the idea of using a keyword for my name..

So now im again on the spam list and again my comments dont show up..

im like

WTF??

thx a lot... thats an idea there..

so i can get a co.cc domain and host it on the same server of the blocked domain.. using the htaccess file, i 301 it..

that just might work :)
 
how does one find out if their domain is on akismet's spamlist?
 
when you comment and the page reloads. after the reload you cant see your comment.

or if you comment just with your name, and not fill the url field and if the comments gets posted then, you can tell that ur on the spam list

also im thinking, along with co.cc, will co.nr have the same effect?

im sure i dont have to explain what co.nr is, you all must have used it.

so if i target it to my TLD, will that transfer the link juice?

Remember that it is based on URL, Email & IP address..... akimet does not just collect spam information from blog commenting either. It is integrated into my other systems!
 
Do they only add domain to spam list or whole url , for example spamming squidoo lens or so ... :)
 
I had this same problem a while ago. The problem is not always that the webmaster marks your comment as spam. If your comment ends up in spam and the webmaster doesn't check his spam in the last 7 or 30 days, it will be auto-removed from his spam-bin. And if the same thing happens with more blogs, it might start to appear as if your website is spam.

Writing an e-mail to Akismet and asking them to remove your website from the spamlist is one of the best options. Another option is to e-mail the webmasters and ask them to unmark your comment as spam, and if they don't like it, then delete it.

Make sure that write good comments that the webmaster will definitely unspam for you.

Apparently I have a site that if used as my url when commenting, the comment is now seen as spam.

You can just contact them and they'll change the status of your site that you use for the url when commenting to 'not spam'?

I am aware that using your keyword as your name is not a good idea, so I've not done that in a while, and I've been leaving useful comments, any idea if you can find out from where you've been labeled a spammer? I mean, if it was from a webmaster and not from askimet's auto filtering itself?
