what happens with blog commenting on wordpress?

ive restarted my blog commenting campaign and find it to be more tiring than i remember it..

on a lot of blogs when i write my comment and click on submit, the page refreshes but i dont see my comments, before the comment used to show up and would have something l;ike "awaiting moderation: written with it.

but now i get nothing.. except for this written in the address bar : comment-page-1#comment-7622

does that mean that my comment was registered or what? if yes why not show it

It might need approval from admin of the blogs.

ok so i checked it out on a few of my own blogs and the comments went directly to the spam category, askimet picked them up as spam...

so when the comments dont show up after the page reload then its not good as i suspected..

and when i submitted the comment without my URL, it showed up normally as it should...

what now?? cause i commented on a lot of blogs yesterday and that was a complete waste of time :/

This is a problem faced by many blog commenters. There is no easy solution to get yourself out of the akismet spammer's list. The good news is that Akismet learns over a period of time - so you should request your friends and other blog owners to de-spam your comments from the spam queue over several days. Akismet will finally learn that your website/email address is not a spammer's and you can start commenting again.

If you're posting all of the comments from the same IP, then this is bound to happen. Consider getting yourself some private proxies.

I think even rotating IP doesn't help much, as long as you are using the same url...

If you are trying to get backlinks for SiteA, but it's in the black list, get backlinks for SiteB (Also yours), and then 302 redirect

BTW that's a blue hat technique

Sorry to dig up a slightly dated post. But you can get back in Askimets good books.
I dabbled with some software that got me put in the blacklist, either that or one of my comments by hand got me a nasty smack.

I tried askimet on my forum for spam prevention. An auto post that had my url in it, went straight into moderation, then I tried a blog comment on my own blog, same again, it was added to the spam folder.

Since it was only the url that common in both cases, I had that sinking feeling.

Contacted Askiment asking what might have occurred and within an hour, they replied and my blacklisted domain was lifted.

So if your genuine about being on the black list, its worth contacting them from their contact us form.

I have been SEOing for a couple of years and I am sorry to hear about your URL being AKISMETED.

Unfortunately, using different IPs/Proxies will not be of any help to you. When your website is AKISMETED, you have two choices:

1) Make a new URL
2) Contact AKISMET to get you off their Ban list (It might take them a while to contact you back thou)

Some blog owners may flag comments no matter how high quality they are since they don't like to see any keywords used as Names.

Im 99% sure I got put on the Askimet black list for making a real comment, so it was not even down to any other software I was playing with.

Sods law the first time you have a go at blog commenting and you end up on a blacklist.

The day I posted this was when I found the problem myself and it was sorted within about an hour, which wernt bad considering it was a bank holiday in a lot of countries.

Its worth setting up a free wordpress account just to check if your on the blacklist.
