Hey guys,

I’ve got a Pinterest account in the trading niche that’s been inactive for over a year but keeps getting more impressions (200,000) and clicks every month. I’m not sure what to do with it, tried affiliate links before, but no success.

Any ideas on how to make the most of this?

Thanks!

Find which pins and keywords bring the most clicks double down on those topics.

2.

Post 2–3 fresh pins weekly around your top themes.
Refresh old designs with new text or titles, and update your profile/boards.

3.

  • Affiliate via content – Don’t link directly; send traffic to a short blog post or landing page that includes your affiliate links.
  • Build an email list – Offer a free trading resource (PDF, guide, or template) and promote products later.
  • Create digital products – Sell a trading journal, spreadsheet, or eBook via Gumroad or Etsy.
  • Drive traffic elsewhere – Use pins to push views to your YouTube or blog for ad and affiliate revenue.

4.

Check trends.pinterest.com for hot keywords like trading strategies or forex tips and create pins around them. let me know if you will need some more guidelines on it

OK i appreciate that. I actually have no problem with posting 10 or more pins a week but a blog sounds like too much for me.
I will have a look into this maybe i can find a solution or any good plan to do it.
Thanks

If you don't want to create a blog, you could use simple landing page providers or something like link tree.

But best result from Pinterest is to link back to your own site and monetize from there.

Try focusing on building authority in the trading niche. Another idea is to sell digital products like ebooks.

Thats awesome! Since its getting impressions, try reactivating with fresh, engaging content maybe educational posts or guides. You could also try promoting your own products or services related to trading, or partner with relevant brands for sponsored content.

Turn back on, update your profile
Update your name, bio with a clear CTA (e.g. “Find free trading strategies & checklists ➜ link”).
Add a professional cover photo and link to your website/landing page.

Sounds like your account has great potential! Experimenting with interactive content like polls or Q&A could boost engagement and open up new monetization opportunities.

Consider collaborating with trading influencers to cross promote and tap into new audiences while keeping your content relevant.

Leverage the account for high-value content or lead generation instead of direct affiliate links. Post consistent, niche-relevant pins, link to a blog, newsletter, or free resource, and build an audience first—monetization comes easier once trust is established.

Build a landing page.
Place the URL in your bio.
Offer a freebie related to your niche in exchange for an optin to those who click the URL.
Build a list.
Sell related offers to that list, over and over.

That’s awesome! I’d start sharing helpful trading tips, link to your own content or courses, and maybe test a few carefully chosen affiliate products to see what sticks.

If you are in Europe check out mintos (it's a peer to peer lending website) and take advantage from their periodical referral offers. You can make up to 50 euro per client that you refer on their website. And since you're in the trading niche there should be a lot of people who are looking to invest.

Your inactive account still has authority, I think you can monetize that traffic in 3 ways:
1) Promote trading tools/platforms with affiliate links (focus on ones with high commissions)
2) Sell promo space on your profile to other users
3) Create a simple lead magnet (like a free strategy PDF) to build an email list you can market to later.

if you’ve got a growing Pinterest account you’ve got good problem to fix into profit. first figure out which pins, boards and keywords bring the most clicks and double down. next make fresh pins 2-3 times a week, refresh old ones too and update boards so the account stays active. then link traffic somewhere you earn: send pins to a blog, landing page or email list, don’t just drop direct affiliate links. finally check trending keywords on Pinterest (like “trading strategies” or “DIY tips”) and create content around them to ride that wave.

Thats a goldmine man revive it with fresh pins and link to a simple funnel or blog.
Test different offers till one converts ;) cool smirk.
