Hi
I just got a DCMA complaint from hostgator for an automated forum (getting the content from other forums) , should i do something about it ? i just checked google for the exact phrase and there is like 50 other website having the same content for it !!
please advice
Thanks

Either get some hosting that doesn't care about DMCAs, or just simply reword the post/posts in question.

Thanks ohaider , after i done some research i think my better option could be getting another hosting , anyone know a hosting that don't give a damn about DCMA complaints ?
Thanks

If your hosting/domain is outside the US you can laugh at their faces, since DMCA is an US law that does not apply outside their borders :D

If your really paranoid and want some sort of legal advice I would check out justanswers. Just google them I can't post links yet. I have used them in the past for many things. you only pay if you are satisfied and your dealing with real lawyers, price is usually under $30 USD.

I use Netelligent, I've received heaps of DMCA and they disregard all of them with some lulz.

Nothing wrong about it I just found out a long time ago to find other ways because its not worth the grief when somebody barks about your posting their stuff. My 2 cents

I have switched to offshore hosting , lets see how it goes :D

I don't think its worth the pain :( just got another complaint from adsense , have no choice now but removing the content
