If your just going to use social media then best to have something on your site that people want to spread around so focus on really engaging your visitors somehow, something that has the potential to go viral... then let it go on social media

I would find relevant Facebook groups and starting posting on their comments sections. Your post has to be relevant and direct them to your page. It takes some time and work, but it works in creating organic Facebook followers

You could also just focus on Long Tail keywords and publish lots of content. The good long tail are usually out there and the sites ranking page 1 for these keywords aren't usually targeting these phrases specifically so if you do then it's to your advantage.

You can turn your blog posts into DERIVATIVE CONTENT and share that on Social media sites for direct traffic

You can also turn them into PDFs and have a VA submit them to HUNDREDS of sites using your keyword targets. Of course, your PDFs will have internal links to your site.
