Hello,
i'm strating this ecommerce website and after posting 4 articles nad adding the website to 9oo9le serch engine .. indexed but no rank ..

I am planning to build some PBN/2.0 but i'm wondering :
What to do first to rank a website before that ?
the simple first things like directories ? social signals ? .. because i'm kinda depressed right now

thanks you !

@redoxate SEO is not a overnight process. Ranking depends on many things like keyword competition, content quality, on page SEO, link value and many more. Few questions for you -

1. Do you know how competitive your keywords are?
2. Do you know how strong your competitors are?
3.What types of content they are using for their site?
4. What is the On page status of your competitors website?
5. How many links they have?
6. Do you check their link profile carefully? How many good links they have? How many ref. domain? What types of links? Can you achieve it so that you can stand out in the market?
7. Whats the status of their social media presence?
8. Blah Blah Blah

I just point out some basic things here. It varies in terms of SEO process. You just cant expect anything after posting few articles. And its hard to explain the things here. Looks like you are not a newbie here. You need to study properly about how SEO works now a days and all. Use this forum and Google to know more. All the best :)

No such things as what to do first or next. But you should be getting social profiles and getting web2.0s and social network links. You can also start getting PBN links. Stay consistent till you get to where you had aimed.

As @treesallover told no such things as what to do first or next. If you do your research properly then you will know what you need to have to beat your competitors :-)

Cool so why not you start with competitors resources first? They are ranked high with those links right? So you can try their list to grab any links they have. I always start with it. Directories are kind of foundation links. I doubt how helpful those links are now for ranking. But if you can do some niche relevant non spammy directories it would be good. Help to create a natural link profile. Try some web 2.0, niche relevant blog comments and other sources. If you have time do some outreach to gain good and solid links by guest blogging.

thats some good strategies,i may be a litlle paranoid because even if they rank they use a lot of directories, and they look often spammy to me ...
and there is that stupid thing wich i think about... how does 9oo9le penalize you for something you might not be the one who did it, like posting in directoires, your competitors can have done that .. @nichexposure

Now you can differentiate the good or bad links right? So grab the good one and stay away from the bad things. I saw similar stuff you are seeing that site is ranked using crap things. But if you do that you might penalize :-p

you are going good, many other methods which is simple are best to start.

If you've only added posts the thing you should do first is add more content.
