Well you think you can't turn much of a profit over on 1.5 acres... if you focus on traditional farming then yeah you might get stuck. BUT there is ton he could do Richard Perkins for example has a book out called "Making Small Farms Work" so focusing on an enterprise from one of his examples he's going to do much better than just looking at a couple of "Eggs"

Theres tons of people out there doing 6 figures on 1/3 of an acre or less. This kind of thinking that you need massive of land for farming is EXACTLY the issue why traditional farming is dying as a business and is struggling so much and why people sell off land to get developed on (UK) because people can't manage it or kids don't want to be involved in the parents farm.

Farming is and can be so diverse you don't just need a tractor and run a plough to grown corn.
