What to check before ordering Guest posting

I am planning to buy niche edits or guest posting services for my blog. I have got few of sellers sending me quotes with website list. Apart from DA, RD and traffic what other metrics should I take into consideration before ordering Guest posts or Niche edits?

If could also let me know, then it will help me choose the right one.

Check how many keywords are ranking for the blog also same as the Niche edits too

Have to check how many indexed pages they have it somehow helps for new article indexing

If you go for niche edits then check if those pages actually rank for any keywords.

Check traffic and keyword site is ranking for. If they are ranking on made up keywords or some weird or brand keywords and getting most of traffic from it, they are manipulating traffic numbers.

Any blog with organic ranking and traffic is a good option. You can also try direct approach to site owners from Google rankings for niche edits.

Make sure the seller has only few outbound links from that page if it is a niche edit.
If it is a guest post, you may ask the seller to keep only one outbound link (i.e., your link) from that article.

The type of website that has been shared by few seller has all kinds of categories from travel to kitchen to news and politics (includes a lot of niches).

In that case, I feel I should ask to provide me with backlinks only from topics that are relevant to my niche or closely related.

Let's say for my travel niche, don't you all suggest me to get a backlink from travel related section or post?

Be careful of this type of site... spammy link farms pretend to be formal sites with only purpose of selling "guest post"... usually built on some themes seen everywhere.

Some guest post services are just joke.
They may find such a site whose webmaster has already quoted me USD 20, which I consider just cheap link from a link farm.
and they try to resell to me at a price of USD 200. They call it "high authority"

Real story.

My suggestion:

• find a site that only focuses on your niche.
• Check the traffic, rather than metrics (don't give metrics too much shit.)
• Check from which countries the traffics are coming in.
• Make sure the site has clean link profile, no outbound to casino sites or other sensitive sites

You mentioned that you're thinking of buying niche edits or guest postings.

Those are two different things.

A niche edit is an existing host on somebody's site with good search metrics.

The post already exists, and all they need to do is edit the post to link target keywords that may or may not already exist in the post to go to a specific site on your site.

In that context, make sure that the page you are promoting is targeting the right keyword, is well-optimized, and delivers on the search intent of the keyword you are targeting.

If that is the case, make sure that whoever you buy the niche edit from uses the right pages to link to you.

These pages must be thematically related, and at the very least, they must be in the same niche.

Also, do some legwork on Majestic to see if the pages they say they will link from are legit.

They can promise you everything and deliver something disappointing.

Check that , their are no spammy keywords ranked plus check their are no redirects boosting its dr and DA .

Check the organic traffic of that website, most important metric.

You should also check the current traffic. Also check that it is completely organic traffic.

Make sure that the blog is not having only AI content. Even if there is some AI content, it should be edited with good tools.
